October 27 Book Discussion
This reading initiative was designed to bring Brown County residents together by reading and discussing the same book. Bless Me Ultima is set in the small town of Guadalupe, New Mexico during World War II. This novel follows the story of Antonio Márez, a young boy who meets a healer named Ultima. In the story, Antonio is forced to deal with religious and moral issues. Based on his experience as a Catholic Mexican-American, Green Bay resident Jose Leon will lead the book discussion.
